About Us

John Kilroy started our company in 1994, initially to provide design and web services to clients within the Arts. By 1997 we had run the largest IT capital lottery project in the UK and had added blue chip companies and news organisations to our list of clients. By 2001 John Kilroy was one of the UK’s leading web design experts, consulting to the Government and some of Britain’s biggest companies.

John had been trying to get British companies interested in the value of user-centred design methods for years before they became properly recognised over here. In England in 1998 few people saw the value of accommodating such unusual concerns when the medium’s functional and presentational potential were the main areas of exploration. The birth of ecommerce and large–scale Government involvement in the Internet both helped to change that.

In the five or so years since the advent of general awareness about web accessibility, standards and usability, clients have found it much easier to see the value our ideas. These days people understand that it’s very much in their in their interest to pursue design methods that focus on customers’ preferences and capabilities, and our relationships with public sector and ecommerce businesses prove that our approach is successful and competitive.

But our ideas have never stood still and we work hard to remain at the forefront of the UK’s web and Internet service agencies. Our web sites and people have been winning awards for over ten years, helping forward thinking businesses to use interactive technology to develop the best possible relationships with their customers.
